Intimate, Small Summer Wedding
Megan & Joe met and courted in quaint North East, PA. Their first date was at local hangout and favorite eatery, Johnny B’s Restaurant. Joe proposed at a newer winery in town, Arundel Cellars & Brewing Co.. And finally, the couple plans on making North East, PA their home. That’s where the story of this small, summer wedding begins.
With so much history here, it made sense to get married where it all started and where their adventure will continue. The couple originally planned a large family wedding with the ceremony taking place at Park United Methodist Church and the reception following at local venue, Lakeview Country Club.
But as is the story for so many couples in 2020, Covid had other plans. Undaunted and with much enthusiasm, this amazingly easy going couple altered their original plans to keep their wedding date. We were excited to be there for them.
How It All Came Together
Refusing to allow Covid to knock them off their feet, Megan & Joe altered their plans for a large family filled wedding. They downsized their Ceremony to only the closest family. From close to 200 people down to only 15, but the love filled the room to the rafters regardless. This small summer wedding was big on everything that mattred.
This meant our service also changed. Megan & Joe had originally booked us Photography, Disc Jockey & Photo Booth for a grand celebration. But we were happy to re-arrange their day to include a smaller photography package and videography as well so that they could share the love story written during their ceremony with everyone who was unable to attend. No worries, though! The larger reception has been rescheduled for next summer so everyone can congratulate them in person!
Intimate Family Moments
These newlyweds hosted a private reception for just their immediate family following their ceremony. Happily, their venue was able to cater so a delicious meal awaited everyone at the couples new house! The couples faithful puppy pal eagerly greeted all guests and photo bombed the formal photos in the back yard. We ended the day with a sweet cake cutting and a final toast by this bright couple. I can tell they have many delightful and loving years ahead of them. We can’t wait to see them again next year at the follow up reception.
